Stock screener
Screen the market by the fundamentals that matter to you. Every row is a stock and every column is a metric you choose, so you can rank, filter and compare companies side by side, then open any ticker for a full financial breakdown.
New to screening? Start with a profile
Pick one of the profiles below. It fills in the filters for one type of company and explains what they mean. Tap the icon next to any column name for a short explanation, and click a row to open that company. A flag marks a number far outside the normal range. When you know the basics, switch on "I know the basics" at the top to hide these hints.
Choose a profile
These profiles are learning examples that show how a type of company can look in numbers. They are not recommendations, and this content is not investment advice. What is this strategy?
Results
Click a row to open the company. Sort what is loaded with ▲ / ▼.
Amount filters, the ranking and sorting compare amounts in USD, so a limit such as 10B means the same for every share.
Adjust filters yourself - columns, ranking and values
Tap a metric to add it as a column; tap it again to remove it.
In the table, give one column the focus icon to rank by it and set a filter on it, then press Fetch stocks from the database. Type values in other columns and press Apply filters to narrow the fetched stocks down. Re-sort with ▲ / ▼ and click a ticker to open its financials.
This content is not investment advice. It all runs right here in your browser — just confirm the numbers with official sources before you invest. Values marked are far outside the normal range: they may be correct, but often come from a one-off event - tap the flag for the reason and check the history before using the number.
Looking for the top 10 stocks to buy?
No one can honestly hand you the ten stocks to buy today - "top" depends on what you are looking for. The screener does something better: it ranks every stock by the criteria you choose, so the first 10, 20, 50 or 100 rows are your own top list. Start from one of these:
- The largest companies - the top 10 or top 100 by market value
- Steady dividend stocks - ranked by dividend yield
- Growth stocks - ranked by revenue growth
- Value stocks - profitable companies that look cheap, ranked by our model's estimated return
A list is a starting point, not a recommendation: open each company and read its numbers before you decide. Why there is no honest top 10 list - and how to make your own · More on finding stocks.
How to use the screener
The Ticker Picker stock screener - what you can screen for
Screen the market by the fundamentals that matter to you. Every row is a stock and every column is a metric you choose, so you can rank, filter and compare companies side by side, then open any ticker for a full financial breakdown. It all runs right here in your browser — just confirm the numbers with official sources before you invest.

Never used a screener before? Follow these seven steps once - after that it takes a minute. Open a step to see exactly where to click and why.
Step 1: Start with a profile (the easy way)
Where: the buttons under Choose a profile at the top. What happens: a profile such as Growth or Dividend picks the columns and filters for that kind of company and fetches the stocks for you. Why: you see a sensible result at once and can learn from it. Want to build your own table? Keep Custom selected and go on with step 2.
Step 2: Choose your columns
Where: open Adjust filters yourself above the table and tap the numbers you want under Choose your columns (tap again to remove one). Why: each column is one number you want to compare, for example Price, P/E and Revenue growth. Not sure what a number means? Tap the small i next to the column name in the table.
Step 3: Pick sectors and countries (optional)
Where: the + under the Sector and Country column names in the table. Why: only companies from the sectors and countries you tick are fetched. Leave them empty to search everything.
Step 4: Choose the focus column and its limit
Where: click the small focus button in the header of the column that matters most to you - the column in focus shows a crown. Under it, choose Above, Below or Between and type a value: 15, 10B (10 billion) or 5-20 for Between. Percentages are typed as plain numbers (5 means 5%). Why: the database is large, so it only sends the stocks that pass this one limit, ranked by the focus column with the best matches first. The free plan shows the top 20, paid plans more.
Step 5: Press "Fetch stocks from the database"
Where: the green button above the table. What happens: the stocks are fetched and shown in the table. Changed the focus column, its limit, the columns or the sectors? Press the button again to fetch a fresh set.
Step 6: Narrow down with "Apply filters"
Where: type values in the other columns (with Above, Below or Between), then press Apply filters next to the fetch button. What happens: every fetched stock with just ONE number outside your values is hidden, so only the stocks that pass all of them are left. A stock without a number in a filtered column is hidden too. With Unusual values next to the button you can also hide the stocks that have an number in one of the columns - or show only those, to look for data errors and one-off events.
Why it is fast: this happens in your browser on the stocks you already fetched - no new request, so try as many times as you like. Too strict and nothing is left? Loosen one value and press Apply filters again, or press Reset filters to see all fetched stocks again.
Step 7: Sort and open a stock
Click a column's ▲ / ▼ arrows to reorder the stocks you have - also without a new fetch. A value marked is far outside the normal range; tap it for the reason. Click any row to open the company: what it does, its financial statements, valuation and news - that is step 3 of your path.
Screen smart, and invest wisely. Planned features (API access, forecasts and risk scoring) are listed on the website news page.
